There are times when set phrases become of special significance and, in this case, the phrase “time flies, it seems it was yesterday” has lately been in the mind of those of us who contributed to the foundation of the journal “Metas de Enfermería”: It is the X anniversary of the journal.
The ongoing search for excellence, as the core axis of our work, has led us to design a series of actions conceived to become added values to the inherent relevance of the journal itself. In line with this philosophy, the activity here depicted “1st International Forum of Metas de Enfermería” aims to pursue this excellence.
The objective of this meeting is to renew the commitment we made towards the development of Nursing when the first issue of the journal came out, for there is no better way to thank our readers for their continued support and loyalty. Because of this, we have also wanted to share with you the knowledge and professionalism provided by the representatives of the different scientif nursing societies, as it is these organisations that ultimately set the guidelines that ensure good nursing practice.
The purpose of this 1st Forum of Metas de Enfermería focuses on the debate surrounding a topic of current interest, -the newly emerging nursing profiles in these early times of the XXI century, -which constitute diverse manifestations of the current nursing leadership, including leiason nursing, case management nursing, specialist nursing, master or PhD nurses, etc.
We trust this Forum will be a success and would like to thank all of you for wanting to share this time, expectations, and projects with us.
